FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION

 

S.B. 1386 is tax fraud penalty legislation brought by the Attorney General's Office, with technical input from the Department of Revenue. The floor amendment to the Finance Committee amendment does the following:

 

1.    clarifies that the Tax Fraud Interdiction Fund consists only of fines collected for charges involving sales suppression software; and

 

2.    defines the term zapper.
